This Heart Week, Thursday 8 May 2025, 6.30pm to 8pm, tune in to the Heart Foundation's CPD accredited clinical webinar 'Let's talk about sex', exploring the role of biological sex in cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk.

The event will be chaired by Professor Garry Jennings, Chief Medical Advisor of the Heart Foundation, and will feature international keynote speakers, Professor Hester den Ruijter (Netherlands) and Professor Christian Delles (Scotland), along with Australian specialists. Highlighting the key differences that set the sexes apart, the panel will unpack the role of the female reproductive system in the progression of CVD and spontaneous coronary artery disease (SCAD), while examining male-specific factors and the role of gender-affirming therapy on CVD risk in transgender individuals.

Tune in as the experts equip you with the knowledge and skills to navigate sex specific risk factors in CVD, and maintain a personalised approach to cardiovascular risk management in primary care. In 90 minutes of live presentations, and Q&A with the experts, 'Let's talk about sex' will explore innovative strategies and provide tailored approaches to optimise CVD risk factor management within primary healthcare.

This webinar has been accredited with the RACGP for 1.5 hours.
