LGBTIQ Inclusion Workshop for Nurses and Midwives

This 3-hour interactive workshop will support you to better understand inclusive language, gender diversity and the challenges that LGBTIQ people overcome. Participants will cover: 

• definitions and concepts behind LGBTIQ+ communities 
• understanding the needs and wellbeing of LGBTIQ+ people 
• issues that arise when these needs are not met 

• examples of inclusive practice in healthcare. This interactive workshop is suitable for nurses, midwives, allied health professionals and administrative staff working in a healthcare setting.
