21 Years of Advocacy: Celebrating Progress and Addressing Unmet Needs in Mental Health
Join us as we come together to reflect on two decades of significant change and development in the mental health sector. With a focus on current challenges, such as the unmet needs and the importance of lived experience, we’ll have updates on national initiatives and policy advancements. You will hear from influential national advocate Cathy O’Toole regarding the national unmet needs. Cathy is the immediate past Chair and current Board member of Community Mental Health Australia (CMHA), Chair Qld Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH) and Chair Carers Australia (CA).
Participate in a Q&A session with our Lived Experience Panel chaired by Lyn English, our longest serving Board Member and includes panelists Professor Sharon Lawn, ex-Mental Health Commissioner and member of Lived Experience Australia with Brett Williams from LELAN. This panel will talk about changes and future challenges in the Lived Experience space.
You will also hear an update from Minister for Health and Ageing Mark Butler.
