National Eating Disorder Strategy Implementation Forum: Strengthening Primary Care Responses
The National Eating Disorder Strategy Implementation Forum will focus on the role of Primary Health Networks (PHNs) and the broader primary care workforce in improving responses to eating disorders.
Join leaders and practitioners from across Australia to gain practical insights into initiatives, tools, and resources that can strengthen eating disorder responses in primary care.
National Eating Disorders Collaboration (NEDC) will outline the role of primary care providers within the stepped system of care for eating disorders and provide an overview of the key tools and resources available to support this work.
Guester presenters from East Melbourne PHN and Murrumbidgee PHN will showcase local initiatives focused on GP education and psychosocial workforce development. These case studies will provide practical examples that PHNs and service providers can adapt and implement in their own regions.
This event is designed for anyone responsible for, supporting, or interested in strengthening the primary care workforce's capability to respond to eating disorders. This includes primary care providers, allied health professionals, PHN staff, service and team leaders, commissioners, and planners working across both general health and eating disorder-specific services.
