Online training: Initial Assessment and Referral – Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST) for Mental Health

Training for GPs, Mental Health Services and Lived Experience Professionals.

Training includes background, development presentation of the IAR-DST and how it is used in practise. It is then applied practically to two clinical cases, chosen specifically for relevance to GPs, for discussion with the training psychiatrist and a public health officer . Only one session is required.

After completing training, you will receive

  • GPs/GP-registrars: A one-off reimbursement of $300 (Exc. GST)*
  • 2 CPD hours - 1 Learning and 1 Review
  • Certificate of Attendance

*Payment is available to GPs/GP-registrars, unless the GP is already being paid for their time by the Commonwealth funded service. (e.g. Adult Mental Health Centres or Aboriginal Medical Services). Payment is not available to other no-medical staff or clinicians.
