Dr Carly Roukos, Clinical Lead, Wandi Nerida - Model of Care at Wandi, place for residential treatment centres in the system of care, when health care professionals should be referring their patients to Wandi, versus other available treatments and support. Carly is a clinical psychologist who completed her studies in the United States with a special interest in eating disorders and severe and enduring mental illness. She has worked at inpatient, outpatient, and day program facilities in the U.S. specialising in eating disorders. She also has experience in forensic facilities and treating those with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses. Carly is passionate about making eating disorder services more available in Australia and has been involved with Wandi Nerida since it’s opening in 2021.

Danielle Dougherty, Operations Director, Wandi Nerida Learnings and adjustments at Australia's first residential treatment centre for eating disorders; engagement with other states in planning for their own centres Danielle is an experienced health care leader with a background in Nursing and Midwifery and has experience working in Family Violence and held Senior Leadership positions in Indigenous Health. Danielle has post graduate qualifications in health management; and completed a Master of Leadership in 2022. Danielle is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course. Danielle has a passion for developing and leading high performing teams that provide safe and high-quality health care and enable people to live fulfilling lives.

Jim Hungerford, CEO, Butterfly Foundation - Where are the other states and territories up to in their plans to open residential treatment centres, where do they fit within the system of care - what are the other considerations. Necessity of step up/step down treatment and programs to maximise success rates for residential care. Dr Jim Hungerford has over 20 years’ experience as a senior executive in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors and was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Butterfly Foundation in July 2023. From 2011-2023, Jim was CEO of The Shepherd Centre, a world-leading early intervention support service for children who are deaf or have a hearing loss. During this time, Dr Hungerford was also the Chair of First Voice, a peak body for charities which focus on providing listening and spoken language therapy services to children who are deaf or hearing-impaired. He was appointed to the Hearing Australia Board in June 2023 and, prior to joining Butterfly, was on the Boards of RSL NSW and Fundraising Institute Australia.
