This 12-hour course teaches adults (18 years and over) how to provide initial support to someone who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis. 
During this course, you will learn to recognise common mental health problems, how to provide initial help to someone experiencing a mental health problem using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan, and how to respond in a crisis. You will also be taught about where and how to access professional help and what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective.
This course is facilitated by Dr Cate Howell, an experienced clinician and educator, and delivered as a 12-hour face to face course (2 x 6 hr days). 

The next course will be held at Murray Bridge on Tues Sept 10th and Wed Sept 11th (9.15am-4.30pm each day).
