From Screening to Care: Managing Patients in the National Lung Cancer Screening Program

The National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) aims to save lives by detecting lung cancer earlier, when treatment is more effective. Led by South Australian clinicians, this webinar will support general practices to confidently implement the NLCSP, with a practical focus on patient eligibility and enrolment, management of screening results, and coordination of follow-up care.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By attending this webinar, participants will:

  1. Understand their role in the NLCSP, including how to determine patient eligibility and suitability for screening, and how to enrol patients.
  2. Understand how to manage screening results and follow-up care including:
    • Supporting ongoing screening surveillance and
    • Coordinating follow-up investigations for lung findings and additional actionable findings.
  3. Understand referral pathways and services available across metropolitan Adelaide (CALHN, NALHN and SALHN) to support follow-up care.
  4. Gain awareness of tools and resources available to support general practice with NLCSP implementation.
