Multicultural Wellbeing Program - A Holistic Approach to Chronic Pain Management
Program overview
The Multicultural Wellbeing Program supports refugees and migrants from culturally and linguistically diverse communities with a history of torture and/or trauma to engage in a journey of recovery, and live well with persistent pain. The program includes guided gentle exercise and information sessions designed around each culture’s own understanding of pain. The program applies a trauma informed approach, aiming to improve the knowledge and skills required to effectively self-manage pain in a culturally appropriate, and supportive setting.
