GP Round Table Consolidated Summary of Findings Now Available

Having now held three workshops, Adelaide PHN has consolidated the fingings from our November, March and May GP Round Table Workshops. Facilitated by Enzyme, these workshop gave GPs working in the metropolitan region an opportunity to provide feedback on the work and direction of Adelaide PHN. Specifically, what local GPs want Adelaide PHN to be doing to support general practice and how we can enhance the relationship between primary, acute and tertiary care.
The consolidated report, as well as the individual summaries from each of the three workshops, can be found on the Consultations Report page. The consolidated report is also attached.
The four most important issues or opportunities participating GPs felt Adelaide PHN and GPs should focus on in the future were:
- Poor relationship between acute and primary care
- Education, training and business support for GP practices
- Difficulty accessing quality mental health services
- Greater understanding of PHN functions and capacity
In response to the identified need for improving the relationship between acute and primary care, Adelaide PHN and CALHN have scheduled a GP/Hospital Consultants Round Table Workshop.
