GP Round Table Summary Report - findings from our session with Adelaide general practitioners

Adelaide PHN held the first GP Round Table event on November 21 2018. Facilitated by Enzyme, this workshop gave GPs working in the metropolitan region an opportunity to provide feedback on the work and direction of Adelaide PHN. Specifically, what local GPs want Adelaide PHN to be doing to support general practice and how we can enhance the relationship between primary, acute and tertiary care.
The report can be found attached or in the Consultation Reports page on this website. It concludes that GPs present felt that there were 3 areas (60% of the feedback) for Adelaide PHN and GPs to focus on in the future:
- Lack of collaboration and interface between primary and secondary care
- Disruption and innovation (including IT advances/applications)
- Lack of understanding by "grass roots GPs" about what Adelaide PHN does
