Administering Iron Infusion Intravenously

Iron infusion (ferrous carboxymaltose) administered intravenously is recommended for treatment of iron deficiency, when oral iron preparations are ineffective or cannot be used. A maximum dose of 1000mg iron can be delivered safely intravenously, which does make it a suitable treatment in your practice.

- How to diagnose iron deficiency based on laboratory tests
- How to properly administer iron infusion
- Indications for the use of iron infusion intravenously as opposed to oral iron supplements
