The Contraceptive Implant (Implanon NXT) Training for Registered Nurses and Midwives is an interactive session, incorporating theoretical instruction and simulated practical application.
Participants will:
- complete theory training regarding counselling and assessment prior to inserting the contraceptive implant
- demonstrate practical skills with simulated training on model arms
- learn about the management of complications and bleeding changes with Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives
- develop an understanding of administration of local anaesthetic, insertion and removal procedure, and management of complications
Suitable for registered nurses and midwives.
