Presented by SAMESH, the Foundations of LGBTIQ+ Inclusivity training is an introductory 4 hour course that covers topics of LGBTIQ+ issues such as:
- Definitions
- Explores some concepts in further details (particularly transgender and intersex)
- The impact gender norms have on our perceptions of gender and sexuality and how this impacts our ability to process people who fall outside these norms
- Discrimination and it’s impacts
- Creating safe environments for LGBTIQ+ people to express themselves
Suitable for health professionals, support workers, counsellors and practice staff.
There is a cost to attend.
