LGBTIQ Inclusion Workshop

Venue: SHINE SA, 64c Woodville Road, Woodville
This workshop is designed for midwives and nurses and will cover topics such as gender diversity, inclusive language and challenges LGBTIQ people overcome. Presented by key sexual and reproductive health agency SHINE SA this workshop is a collaboration with the Women’s and Children’s Health Network. Participants will cover:
- definitions and concepts behind LGBTIQ communities
- understanding of how homophobia and transphobia impact upon the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQ people
- an understanding of how to use inclusive and respectful language
- an understanding of the intersections between LGBTI and other identities
This workshop is designed for midwives and nurses.
