Many people living with chronic pain had a work injury as the originating cause. A significant number of injured workers are also prescribed opioids to treat their pain and for some this leads to lifelong iatrogenic addiction amongst other problems. This presentation discusses the special implications of opioids in the workplace, practicalities of deprescribing and alternative treatments.
