This session is designed to inform participants on appropriate procedures for the cleaning and sterilisation of reusable medical equipment along with the correct documentation process.
Course outline:
- Precautions and personal protection
- Demonstration of correct cleaning tools for medical and surgical equipment
- Identification of packaging options for medical and surgical equipment
- Loading and unloading tips for steam sterilisers
- Documentation required for safe practice
Suitable for GPs, nurses and practice staff.
