Understanding Dementia

This course content includes how the brain is affected by the diseases that cause dementia, symptoms, diagnosis, stages and management, and personal and carers’ perspectives of living with dementia.
The online course runs for 7 weeks from 8 February to 22 April 2022. Each week a module will be released that will take approximately three hours to complete. The module can be completed day or night at your convenience and on a smartphone, tablet or computer.
The release of course content will occur at 8.30AM on the following dates -
- Module 1: Orientation - 8 February
- Module 2: The Brain - 10 February
- Module 3: The Diseases - 24 February
- Module 4: The Person - 10 March
- Module 5: Completion - 31 March
You can work through the content at any time of day and at your own pace within this release schedule. This includes revisiting earlier released content as needed. Upon completion, you will receive a personalised certificate.
