Urgent Care: Skills Workshop Medical Emergencies (North)

This interactive session provides essential skill updates on triaging of the acutely ill patient and management of some of the typical time critical patients that may present at the practice. It includes ‘red flags’ enabling GP’s and nurses to quickly identify who needs urgent referral, and who can safely be treated at the centre. The workshop includes review of best current practice as well as case based discussion and sharing of experiences. Participants will review basic 12 lead ECG interpretation in regard to AMI, current use of puffers and spacers for both adults and children, as well as application of the SA Stroke Management Pathway.
