This workshop addresses the neurodevelopmental disorders including autism and attention disorders Autism is characterized by difficulties in communication, repetitive patterns of behaviour or interests and sensory issues.
Learning outcomes:
- Describe the evidence for early intervention in the neurodevelopmental disorders
- Outline appropriate assessments for the child with ASD or ADHD
- Identify appropriate treatments (phychological, pharmacological)
- Recommend key services and referral pathways
