GP Round Table Summary Report - findings from our March workshop with Adelaide general practitioners
Monday, April 15 2019
Following on from the success of our GP Round Table Workshop in November, Adelaide PHN held another GP Round Table event in March 2019. Facilitated by Enzyme, this workshop gave GPs working in the metropolitan region an opportunity to provide feedback on the work and direction of Adelaide PHN. Specifically, what local GPs want Adelaide PHN to be doing to support general practice and how we can enhance the relationship between primary, acute and tertiary care.
The report for the March workshop can be found attached. It concludes that GPs present felt that there were 3 areas for Adelaide PHN and GPs to focus on in the future:
- Poor relationship between acute and primary care
- Difficulty accessing quality mental health services
- Greater understanding of PHN functions and capacity
The November 2018 report can be found on the Consultation Reports page on this website.
Similar consultation events are planned for GPs, practice nurses and practice managers in the 2019 year, if you are interested in participating in similar events - please keep an eye out on our Participate in Our Consultation Page or subscribe to Primary Links here.
