Help stop the spread of Influenza by encouraging all patients to get vaccinated.
Remind higher risk patients that they are eligible for a free flu vaccination:
- pregnant people
- people 6 months of age or older with underlying chronic medical conditions
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 6 months and older
- all children 6 months to less than 5 years of age
- people aged 65 years and older
- people experiencing homelessness.
The best time to vaccinate people against the flu is Autumn so they have protection during the season peak, typically from June to September.
