Thorne Harbour Health’s LGBTIQA+ Mental Health Service Launch

Adelaide PHN joined Thorne Harbour Health at the launch of our ground-breaking LGBTIQA+ mental health service at local community venue, My Lover Cindi, on Monday 31 July.
The event featured speeches from Tamira Pascoe (Adelaide PHN Executive Manager MHAOD & Procurement), Carolyn Gillespie (THH Director of Services), and a community member with lived experience of mental health challenges. There was also entertainment provided from local community artists.
The launch shed light on the current state of LGBTIQA+ mental health in Adelaide and explained why a specialist service is vital to the health and wellbeing of these communities and the importance of a collaborative and community-led approach to mental wellbeing.
A big thanks to all the LGBTIQA+ community members, leaders and allies who attended in support of the launch of this vital service.
